Course Description:
This course is designed for students 16 years or older who are working at least ten hours a week and are being supervised in an internship. This course will provide an opportunity for students to participate in and observe a variety of conditions of work that will contribute to their personal career goals. Emphasis is placed on the connection between academic curriculum to meet career goals, self-development, self-evaluation, and human relations.

- A Work Permit (required for students 17 or younger only)
- A Work Experience Educational/Internship Training Agreement
- An Individual Training Plan
- Risk of Liability Transportation Release Form
- Students must complete between 50-100 hours of combined work hours and course work for five credits.
Attendance Requirements:
This class is designed to be a blended learning model whereby 90% of the class interaction will be delivered online using the learning management system of Poway Unified, MyConnect.powayusd.com and 10% will be held face-to-face online via Zoom on the dates outlined below. These sessions are mandatory and will be held on Wednesday afternoons at 4:15pm. Alternative days and times will be available if you can not make the scheduled zoom meetings set.
Grading Policy / Coursework:
Work Time Sheets: Students are required to submit 12 Timesheet/Reflection forms, which cover a minimum of 10-hours of work experience schedule from the previous week. Timesheets will be collected via MyConnect.powayusd.com every Monday by 5:00pm. Time sheets must be submitted on time. Timesheets submitted late will result in lower grades.
