What “TO DO” Daily Schedule

You must participate via Zoom platform

I will deliver a synchronous (face-to-face) learning session daily when we meet as a class. I may share a PowerPoint, notes,  or lecture on the topic of the day.

Guided and Independent Practice/Homework:

Asynchronous Learning through the Virtual Business Simulation and/or homework assigned

We will work through several modules together so that students are comfortable.

Online Class Rules, Expectations and Guidelines:

  • Check your understanding, refine your work with the guidance of the teacher by asking questions via direct instructions or email
  • Work independently on assigned activities and or tasks.
  • Contact me if you need help during my office hours.
  • Raise your hand and wait to be acknowledged. You will earn points for participating.
  • Use chat feature only when prompted by the facilitator.
  • We will be present and not multitask
  • We will avoid assumptions about others and listen first to understand them
  • We will give time and encourage all voices, no matter how quiet or different
  • We will trust each other to speak honestly
  • We will respect each other’s fears and vulnerabilities
  • We will be patient with those unfamiliar with technology
  • Take the learning, leave the stories (No recording or sharing stories that belong to others)
  • Profanity/Inappropriate language is not allowed to be used because we are developing skills Business skills to excel us after high school.
  • Westview students pride themselves on their character, and cheating is the theft of ideas. I consider cheating: The copying of answers from other students’ assignments.  Working with another student to find answers is different than asking them the answers. Telling other students’ questions that appeared on another test or quiz before they have taken it. Using another’s work (ideas) and claiming it as your own thoughts.
  • All other rules and regulations included in the “Student Handbook” will be enforced according to PUSD policies.

Netiquette Policy:

  • Remember that we are all human and that we are not perfect. Consider the feelings of others. Do not email or post insensitive comments.
  • Use the same social standards that apply face-to-face apply online. Always use ethical practices.
  • Don't waste other people's time. Read the information posted on Canvas and assignments before posting comments.
  • Participate during synchronous discussions (i.e. Chat).
  • You are a high school student.  Your posts and questions are expected to be grammatically correct. Check your spelling and grammar before conversing with others.  Again, no profanity!
  • Be respectful to other people in this class. You may not purposefully embarrass, chastise or abuse other people in this class. If you see this behavior, please report it. If you experience it, do not response. Tell the instructor instead and Mrs. Brown will take care of it.
  • Privacy is important. Do not share someone else's private contact information or the details of their lives. In addition, do not ask the instructor for this information.
  • Be helpful to other people.

Plagiarism: Is the same as cheating, I consider the following six things as “cheating” in class and if you are caught you and others involved will earn a zero in that assignment, project, or test.

  1. Copying work from other students
  2. Printing assignments for other students
  • Turning in assignments that you did not personally do
  1. Turning in work from other sources as your own (plagiarism)
  2. Logging in as another student
  3. Telling another student your password and login

Grading & Assessment

We will use Synergy for grading
