Connecting to Classroom Computers
In order to use a professional video editing software for the course, we are providing a way for you to connect directly to a computer in my classroom from anywhere you have an internet connection.
Follow these steps carefully to get connected:

- Generic credentials to connect through Splashtop:
- Username: CTE
- Password: student

- Once you get logged into Splashtop, locate the correct computer you that your instructor has assigned to you
- Classroom computers will be accessible between the hours of 6am and 11pm
- Once you see the screen of the Mac computer located in my classroom, you will log in using your school ID and password. You will also likely see a blue information bubble at the bottom of the screen. Please disregard it.
- After successfully logging into the school computer, you are able to use any of the tools and applications that are available
- You will find all applications in the Applications folder (open a Finder Links to an external site. window and select Applications)
- You can also search for most anything using Spotlight Search

- You will need to transfer the file you are working (Google Drive is a good way) on as this is likely not the computer you log into if you are at the school
- When you have completed your session, you MUST select Log Out from the Apple icon menu in the upper-left corner of your screen
- Download the Splashtop Business application to your computer. Follow the steps in the linked Google Doc exactly.
