Connecting to Classroom Computers

In order to use a professional video editing software for the course, we are providing a way for you to connect directly to a computer in my classroom from anywhere you have an internet connection.

Follow these steps carefully to get connected:

1. 1. 1. Download the Splashtop Business application to your computer. Follow the steps in the linked Google Doc exactly.

      2.  Generic credentials to connect through Splashtop:
         • Username: CTE
         • Password: student

      3. As of 9/12, classroom computers will be accessible between the hours of 6am and 11pm
         
         
      4. Once you see the screen of the Mac computer located in my classroom, you will log in using your school ID and password. You will also likely see a blue information bubble at the bottom of the screen. Please disregard it.
         
         
         
      5. After successfully logging into the school computer, you are able to use any of the tools and applications that are available. You will find all applications in the Applications folder (open a Finder Links to an external site. window and select Applications). You can also search for most anything using Spotlight Search Links to an external site. (look for the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right of the screen).
         
         
      6. When you have completed your session, you MUST select Log Out from the Apple icon menu in the upper-left corner of your screen.
