What this is:
Second project of the trimester. Students will pitch a story topic, develop the idea through story boarding, then film, edit, and produce within a production timeline he/she determines suitable and one that is agreed upon by the instructor.
What to learn:
Storytelling. Using the tools and techniques you learned in Digital Media 1, dream, develop, and deliver a visual production of a story worth telling.
What to do:
Choose a topic or genre for your project. Be sure to engage in something new and challenging.
Develop your idea using the Story Planning sheet located in class or attached below.
Pitch your idea to your instructor, rework your story planning if necessary.
Begin the Story Boarding process using the Story Board sheet located in class or attached below. Rework if necessary.
Film, edit, and complete your video using appropriate transitions and credits.
What to complete:
At the end of this project, you will have a video masterpiece, complete with intro, transitions, quality cinematography, and purposeful story line.
Complete this project by submitting a shareable link to your video on Youtube, Vimeo, or Google Drive.
Peer Reviews:
At midnight after submitting your assignment, you will be assigned 3 peer reviews to be completed as homework. You will have 2 days to complete the peer reviews from the assignment due date. To complete a peer review, you must come back to this project page and select the name of one of your peers assigned for you to review. You are asked to score the work using the rubric (be sure to save your scoring choices) and leave a comment with words of praise or constructive criticism (be sure to hit the save button when done). Be sure to adhere to the conditions of Home Court Advantage noted in the course syllabus.
