Welcome to the second project of this trimester. Hopefully you learned a bunch about Blender in the first project, and in an effort not to reinvent the wheel Links to an external site.again, I'm having you follow a couple tutorial series to create a chair and a table. This time, I'm asking you to customize using the tools you've learned and will learn.
What to do:
- The first tutorial is again created by the Blender Guru Links to an external site.himself, Andrew Price Links to an external site.. This tutorial is excellent at helping you create models correctly. Feel free to customize the design while staying within the bounds of the project.
- There is only one table tutorial I found that was easy to follow and provided step instructions for beginners. It is provided by Thilakanathan Studios Links to an external site., and not as well built as the chair, so it is up to you to make it better using what you know. Please follow the tutorial, but customize the table design to match the chair you create.
To complete this project:
- Work your way through the 10 videos for the chair, and feel free to customize the project to your liking while staying within the bounds of the project
- Duplicate your chair to create multiples
- Watch the table tutorial, but take what you learned in the chair tutorial and apply it to the table you create
NOTE: both the chairs and the table should be in the same file - Set the lighting up as studio lighting (see video 10 in the chair tutorial series)
- Render your work as an image file
- Submit your image below (how to submit an assignment Links to an external site.)
- After you have submitted your project, and after the deadline for submission has passed, you will receive a request to complete two anonymous peer reviews (how to submit a peer review and view feedback you receive Links to an external site.)
This project is the second part of the grander, final project where all of your projects this trimester will be combined into your own personal masterpiece.
To get started, choose the chair image below to complete the chair, then come back to work on the table tutorial:
